6 Fun Easter Activity Ideas

Easter is always a fun time of year, Springtime is officially here and we’re one step closer to summer! So to help you celebrate this chocolate filled holiday we’ve put together five fun activities to do with the family.

1. Have An Easter Egg Hunt

It’s an obvious choice but it's a must at Easter time! Choose to hide chocolate eggs or, if you’re not a fan of the kids having too much chocolate, hide small party favours such as stationary or toys. Once you’ve picked what to hide you’ll have to create your own clues for the children to follow. But if creative rhyming isn’t for you, our Easter treasure hunt game is the perfect solution. Then all you have to do is hide the items and then relax as the children race to hunt out their prizes.

2. Easter Themed Crafts

All ages love getting creative and their are an endless amount of Easter themed crafts out there. Make Easter bonnets or accessories for you to wear, or make some bunting decorations and cards to make your home look like the Easter Bunnies house. We recommend checking out our colour in table cover, wreath making kits and little chicks for other craft ideas.

3. Get The Family To Dress Up

Of course we’d mention getting dressed up but we strongly believe that it can be a fun pass time for all ages. Children will love dressing as springtime animals and will find adult’s dressing as the Easter bunny hilarious. A simple alternative would be to wear a few Easter themed accessories such as bunny ears or create your own with some card.

4. Play Some Easter Themed Games

Get the whole family involved in a themed game. You could all have a competition to design and paint the best egg around or use our pin the tail on the bunny game to play the Easter version of the classic pin the tail on the donkey. These games are a great way to promote team work and bring the family together. Make sure you keep a score card and maybe reward the winner with a chocolate egg.

5. Easter Baking

You can basically make anything and add some mini chocolate eggs to the top and call it Easter baking. But two great options would be to make some spring themed biscuits in the shape of flowers, rabbits or butterflies and let your children decorate them with icing, sprinkles and chocolates. If you want an easier option, Easter nests are a great baking idea that look great with little effort. Simply melt some chocolate, add shredded wheat and mix together. Then place them inside cake cases and add small chocolate eggs to the top before waiting for them to set. Then Enjoy your own chocolaty nests!

6. Springtime walk and scavenger Hunt

Finally take a step outside and enjoy the warmer springtime weather. You can entertain the children by creating a list of spring themed items and creatures that they can look for on the walk. Take the list with you and they can tick them off as they go, you could even make it into a competition to see who can complete their list first!
